Sindicatum Solar Energy Gujarat, owns the Patan 15 MWp solar plant, located within the Charanka Solar Park in the State of Gujarat.  The plant was fully commissioned in 2012 and has successfully operated since. The plant is located on approximately 36 hectares of land.

The Gujarat Solar Park, founded in December 2010, is among the world’s first multi-developer, multi-facility, multi-technology and multi-beneficiary solar parks, located at Charanka Village in Patan District.

The solar park is located in 2000 ha plot of land with approximately 60% comprising of government land (mainly wasteland) and has a maximum installed capacity of 500 MW. At present, the installed capacity is 350 MW and there are over 25 developers. Majority of the infrastructure facilities are provided by Gujarat Power Corporation Limited, the Nodal Agency for the development of Solar Park in Gujarat, providing infrastructure as part of the lease for the land, including:   roads, power evacuation facility, raw water pipeline, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, auxiliary power distribution network, fencing, greenbelt.

The region is blessed with one of the highest insolation level observed in the country. The electricity generated from the project is being sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) which is connected to North Eastern Western North-Eastern Grid (NEWNE) of India.
