The Palauig Solar Farm is a 72MWp solar plant located on land near the municipality of Palauig, Zambales, on Luzon Island, Philippines. The project will be built on 80 hectares of land that is being leased under a 25 year lease agreement with the owner. The land has already been classified for industrial purposes. The project is a joint venture of Mabalacat Solar Philippines and Sindicatum. The project will connect directly to the national grid utilizing an existing interconnection at the site.

Negotiations were recently concluded on a 20 year Power Supply Agreement for the output from this plant. The counterparty is a leading retail energy suppliers in the country and is a subsidiary of one of the largest energy companies in the country.

Permitting and detailed technical analysis are being completed and a Power Purchase Agreement signed with a major offtaker. We are currently working on securing project funding expected to be signed in quarter 4, 2019. The plant is expected to be operational by the first half of 2020.
