The Central project is a MWE abatement facility located in Alliance, Ohio, US. The Central project involves the destruction of methane by flaring waste gas emitted from the Central Waste landfill. The project was listed with the Climate Action Reserve in May 2010.

Landfill gas which would otherwise be vented to the atmosphere is captured through a gas collection system and combusted in a standard candlestick flare. The site is currently being evaluated for a potential project expansion to install gas engines and produce electricity for sale.

Sindicatum’s MWE team installed, owns and operates all equipment used on the Central landfill site.
