- 1950/60 – IOLA (Ionisation of the Local Area) technology originates in Russia with similar developments in the US (by Vonnegut)
- 2004 – Meteo systems incorporated in Switzerland (under former name Unitec Holdings AG)
- 2005 – Meteo systems enters an MoU with Swiss Development Agency and carries out trials in Switzerland
- 2006 – Trials carried out in the UAE
- 2007 – Australian Rain Corporation (“ARC”) founded with meteo systems as major shareholder
- 2007/08 – Australian National Water Commission funds ARC trials with the old ATLANT™ technology
- 2008/09 – ARC and meteo systems agree to split with ARC becoming Australian Rain Technologies (“ART”)
- 2010 – Sindicatum Sustainable Resources (“Sindicatum”) invests in meteo systems and funds trials of the new WeatherTec™ technology in Al Ain region of Abu Dhabi
- 2011 – Sindicatum takes majority share of meteo systems
Meteo systems’ WeatherTec™ is an old idea that has been developed and enhanced over years of scientific research and trials
