Chintan Mehta

Chintan Mehta joined Sindicatum in 2009. He currently leads the development and management of operations of Sindicatum’s renewable business (solar power and bagasse to power) in India and Indonesia.

Chintan has thirteen years of technical and managerial experience in the development and operations of clean power projects including biomass/biogas, waste heat recovery, solar, wind and other renewables, with experience across India and ASEAN.

Previously, he worked with CantorCO2e and was responsible for origination, development and management of environmental products with project developers, primarily renewable energy, in India and South East Asia. He brokered environmental products and technologies between project developers, buyers and sellers as well as structuring transaction deals to maximize the value of the carbon asset. Prior to that he had worked with PwC’s climate change and corporate sustainability practice.

He holds a B.Tech (Civil Engineering) degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India and a Masters (M.Tech) in Project Management from Centre for Environment Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad, India.
